The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the team has signed national linebackers Christopher Johnson and Pawel Kruba.
Johnson, a 5-10, 220-pound, native of Toronto, Ontario, returns to the Tiger-Cats after appearing in two regular season games in 2014. The Ticats 44th overall selection in the 2014 CFL Draft racked up 91 defensive tackles and five quarterback sacks in four seasons at the University of Toronto.
Kruba, a 5-11, 210-pound, native of Windsor, Ontario, appeared in 14 regular season games with the Ticats last season. In his final season at Western, he earned the Presidents’ Trophy as the CIS Defensive Player of the Year after recording 38 tackles and three interceptions.
