HAMILTON – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced Thursday that the team has signed international defensive tackle Drake Nevis, as well as international running back Ray Holley and international offensive linemen Stephane Milhim and Kevin Henry.
Nevis, a 6-2, 285-pound, native of Marrero, Louisiana, was drafted in the 3rd round, 87th overall in the 2011 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts. Over the course of four seasons, Nevis spent time with the San Diego Chargers, Dallas Cowboys, Jacksonville Jaguars and Carolina Panthers, recording 50 tackles and one sack in 26 career games. Before joining the NFL, the 26-year-old played 45 games at Louisiana State University, racking up 139 tackles, 31.5 tackles for loss and 11 sacks. In 2010, Nevis was named First-Team All-American and First-Team All-Southeastern Conference after a standout season with the Tigers.
Holley, a 5-9, 200-pound, native of Orange, California joins the Tiger-Cats after signing with the Seattle Seahawks in 2013. The Louisiana Tech alumnus totaled 1,090 yards on 227 attempts (4.8 yards per carry) and 13 touchdowns on the ground in three seasons with the Bulldogs. He also added 451 yards on 49 receptions and one touchdown as a receiver out of the backfield. The 24-year-old was named a Capital One Academic First-Team All-American and All-WAC Second-Team in 2012.
Milhim, a 6-5, 215-pound, native of Pembroke Pines, Florida, started in 37 games for the University of Massachusetts Minutemen at five different positions on the offensive line. The 24-year-old signed as a free agent with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2013.
Kevin Henry, a 6-4, 299-pound, a native of Morris, Illinois, played in 42 games for the Central Michigan Chippewas, primarily at offensive tackle.
