What’s the best album out right now?
“I’d have to say the Meek Mill album that just dropped, I like a lot of tracks on there. Also, Future’s new album, Dirty Sprite 2.”
What’s your go-to pre-game meal?
“I really don’t eat pre-game meals. I’m so anxious before the game, and nervous and a whole bunch of other things, so eating is not at the top of the list right before the game. Pre-game meal, I really would say nothing, maybe a cup of water or something like that.”
Who’s the football player you idolize most?
“Deion Sanders, I’d have to say, even before I played the position. I just liked how he was labeled the best and he went out there and proved it, week in and week out. Deion Sanders would have to be it.”

Who’s the best player you’ve gone up against in your football career?
“It wouldn’t be a receiver as much as a quarterback. In college we played against Houston, the University of Houston, and they had a quarterback named Case Keenum, who shattered all collegiate football records as far as passing. I’d say he was the biggest opponent that I’ve gone against.”
How did you wind up with your jersey number (#20)?
“It was in my locker when I came here. I got cut and came back and a different number was in my locker, so I just kept it. I’m trying to make the number rather than the number make me.”
Which guy on the team do you hang out with the most outside of football?
“I hang out with everybody, but mainly since we play so many card games and things like that, Brandon Banks, Simoni Lawrence, Taylor Reed, Ed Gainey and Rico Murray. That’s usually the card table group right there.”
What’s your favourite thing to do to relax?
“Honestly, I just listen to music in my spare time. If I’m not doing anything, I’ll throw the headphones in, in a room by myself, and just zone out to some music.”
Press, man or zone coverage, what’s your favourite?
“Zone coverage. Simply because you’re not necessarily worried about the man so much as just seeing the ball thrown and just going and getting it when it’s in the air.”

You were in zone coverage when you made that pick-six against the Bombers, what was it like to score your first CFL touchdown?
“It was big. I knew that game was televised, so I knew people back at home would be able to see it. Just getting a chance to prove myself, I felt like that was a play that stood out for me as far as making an impact for the defence. I’m just contributing whenever I can, however I can.”
What’s your number one football memory?
“My number one football memory would have to be my rookie year in Guelph, [when] we played Montreal in the playoffs. My parents actually came to the game, and I had my first CFL interception in the playoffs. Actually, running into halftime I got to give my mother the ball, so that was probably my biggest moment right there.”
