The Hamilton Tiger-Cats defence and Findlay Law have teamed up to revitalize the Defensive Difference Makers Program in support of the John Howard Society of Hamilton, Burlington and Area.
The Ticats “D” is hungry for interceptions this season and will be looking to make a difference not only on the field, but in the community. The Defensive Difference Makers program, presented by Findlay Law, will provide financial support for the John Howard Society every time the Tiger-Cats record an interception at Tim Hortons Field in 2015. For every pass picked off by the Ticats, a donation of $250 will be made by Findlay Law. For every “pick six” where Hamilton’s defence scores a touchdown on an interception, Findlay Law will double their donation to $500.
“We’re excited to partner with the Tiger-Cats on the Defensive Difference Makers Program this year,” said attorney Robert Findlay of Findlay Law. “The John Howard Society makes a significant contribution to our community by helping foster a healthier and safer Hamilton. This initiative is a great way to help a worthy cause and provides another reason for everyone to cheer on our hometown Tiger-Cats defence.”
The John Howard Society works with at-risk youth living in poverty in Hamilton & Burlington to provide them with opportunities to succeed in life through a broad range of community services.
“The John Howard Society of Hamilton, Burlington and Area is very pleased to once again be a part of the Defensive Difference Makers Program,” said Dave Lane, Executive Director of the John Howard Society of Hamilton, Burlington & Area. “This program will have a direct and positive impact on the youth we work with and will make a difference in changing their lives by providing hope and opportunity.”
