The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced Thursday that Saturday’s game with the B.C. Lions is sold out. It will be the 10th consecutive regular season and playoff sellout at Tim Hortons Field.
The club also announced that approximately 500 tickets remain for the August 27 meeting with Montreal, which will be Angelo Mosca Night, presented by Lou’s. The Ticats will retire uniform number 68 in honour of the legendary Mosca, only the second time in franchise history that a number has been retired. An on-field ceremony and numerous celebratory elements will highlight the historic evening. Fans wishing to purchase tickets for that game may do so at www.ticats.ca or by phoning 905-547-CATS (2287).
In conjunction with this Saturday’s sellout, the Ticats are releasing at 7 p.m. this evening approximately 100 tickets for the game that were required by CFL policy to be held for purchase by the two participating teams until 48 hours prior to kickoff. They are available on a first-come first-served basis at www.ticats.ca or at 905-547-CATS (2287).
Through two home games this season, the Ticats have drawn at 103 percent of capacity at Tim Hortons Field. Attendance was 24,135 at the home opener on August 3 versus Toronto and 24,068 on August 9 versus Winnipeg for a total of 48,203 fans. A sellout at Tim Hortons Field is 23,500. Hamilton has won all nine of its regular season and playoff games at its new stadium.
