Zach Collaros And Eric Norwood Named Shaw Cfl Top Performers Of The Week

The Canadian Football League announced today that Hamilton Tiger-Cats quarterback Zach Collaros and defensive end Eric Norwood have been named two of the Shaw CFL Top Performers for Week 8.
Collaros and Norwood helped lead the Tiger-Cats to a 52-22 victory over the B.C. Lions on Saturday night. The win was Hamilton’s fourth straight and improved the team’s record to 10-0 at Tim Hortons Field (including playoffs).
Collaros, a 26-year-old native of Steubenville, Ohio, had a precise and efficient game, completing 19-of-23 passes (83 percent) for 290 yards, four touchdown passes and zero interceptions. He now leads the CFL in passing yards (2,014) and is second in touchdown passes (14) this season.
Norwood, a 27-year-old native of Acworth, Georgia, posted four tackles in the game, one sack, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery that he returned for his first-career touchdown. He now has 15 tackles and four sacks in just three games this season.
Calgary’s Bo Levi Mitchell, first in voting, joins Collaros (second) and Norwood (third) as this week’s Shaw CFL Top Performers. The three players were chosen by a panel of judges who independently send their selections to the CFL head office. The panel includes former Canadian Football League players Matt Dunigan and Duane Forde of TSN and Pierre Vercheval of RDS.
