During each Tiger-Cats game, fans who sign up for Ticats All Access will have the opportunity to participate in our game day predictor. 1. Who will lead the Tiger-Cats in tackles? A) Simoni Lawrence B) Ed Gainey C) Emanuel Davis D) Craig Butler E) Other (Question #19)
Simoni Lawrence holds a significant advantage over anyone else on the Ticats in tackles this season, and he’s led the team in single-game tackles in three of the last five games. Lawrence has been flying around the field, making plays from sideline to sideline for the Ticats defence. With a total of 15 tackles through two games against the Argos, Lawrence is a good bet to top the team again.

2. How many sacks will the Tiger-Cats defence record? Over or under 2.5 sacks? (Question #12)
The Ticats defensive front had a strong game against the Argos in the Labour Day Classic, generating significant pressure on the quarterback throughout the contest. Unfortunately, for all the pressure that was generated there was a relative lack of sacks. The Ticats managed to produce two sacks for the second straight game against Toronto, but Trevor Harris managed to get the ball off before being brought down any more than that and he’s shown a consistent trend of being able to do this throughout the season. I’d be inclined to expect much of the same from both parties in this weekend’s game, with plenty of pressure but fewer than three sacks at the end of the day.

3. How many interceptions will both teams record, combined? Over or under 2.5? (Question #3)
Trevor Harris (74.0%) and Zach Collaros (70.1%) are number one and three in the league respectively when it comes to completion percentage, and both own TD-INT ratios close to 3-1. Both quarterbacks are efficient and smart with the football, and neither tends to make rushed or ill-advised decisions with the football. For the second straight week I’m predicting the league’s two most efficient quarterbacks to hold onto the ball and continue the smart football.

4. How many receptions will Terrence Toliver record? Over or under 4.5? (Question #10)
Through ten games in the CFL, Toliver has recorded 40 receptions for an average of 4.0 per game; however, he’s recorded five or more receptions in just four of this season’s games. That being said, the rookie receiver has grown better with each week of experience in the Canadian game and his chemistry with Collaros has been exceptional over the last few games. Two of Toliver’s three five-receptions games have come over the last two games, and I’m going to predict a third straight one in Toronto on Friday.

5. What will be the final score outcome? A) Ticats +8, B) Ticats +4, C) Even D) Argos +4, E) Argos +8 (Question #20)
In two previous contests against the Argos this season, the Ticats have proved to be the better team by a considerable margin. Both games came at home, where the Ticats boast a +103 point differential in 2015, while the next comes on the road in Toronto, where four of the last five meetings between the two teams have been decided by five or fewer points. With the way the Ticats have been playing– especially against the Argos– this season, it’s safe to bet on a win at the Rogers Centre, but away from Tim Hortons Field it’s tough to predict another blowout.
