907 – Terrell Sinkfield now leads the Ticats in both receiving yards (825) and total yards from scrimmage (907), following his 163-yard performance against the Riders.
87 – Sinkfield’s 87-yard receiving touchdown on Friday was the longest passing play in the CFL in 2015, topping REDBLACKS receiver Chris William’s previous mark of 84 yards.
6 – Ticats defensive end Eric Norwood recorded another sack in his return to the lineup on Friday night, bumping his season total up to six in just five games. Norwood’s six sacks are second on the team behind Justin Hickman (8), but his average of just over one per game is the best per-game rate in the CFL.
5 – Following Ed Gainey’s punt block in Friday’s game, the Ticats have now blocked a total of five kicks in 2015. Gainey became the fifth member of the team to get his hands on an opponent’s kick, joining David Caldwell, Arnaud Gascon-Nadon, Bryan Hall and Neil King. The rest of the CFL has combined for just nine blocked kicks this season, while four teams (BC, MTL, OTT, TOR) have not blocked a single kick.
95.7% – The CFL’s new, longer convert attempt following touchdowns has not been an issue for Justin Medlock. The Ticats kicker has converted on 45 of his 47 single-point attempts (95.7%) this season, and his two misses are tied for the fewest in the league despite having attempted 18 more converts than any other CFL kicker.
26.7 – The Ticats offence has generated a league-high 26.7 points per game in spite of the fact that they rank 8th in the league in plays from scrimmage (53.2 per game) and 7th in time of possession (28:50 per game).
17.9 – On the opposite side of the ball, the Ticats have allowed the league’s third-lowest points per game total (17.9), despite opposing offences tallying the second-most plays against them in 2015 (57.7 per game).
+103 – The Ticats have been the kings of hot starts through 14 games, generating a +103 points differential in the first quarter. In total, Hamilton has outscored opponents by 181 points in the first half of games in 2015. The second half has been a different story, as the Ticats have a -5 point differential in the final two quarters.
20+ – The Ticats are just one of three teams in the CFL (WPG, SSK) to be involved in five games decided by 20+ points this season. Of the three teams that have played in five blowout contests, the Ticats are the only team to go undefeated in those games.
