During each Tiger-Cats game, fans who sign up for Ticats All Access have the opportunity to participate in our gameday predictor challenge. Fans will have the chance to prove that they are the most knowledgeable (or luckiest) fan, by answering a number of props questions prior to kickoff. The more questions you get right, the more yards you collect for your All Access account, which increase your chances for gameday and weekly prizes.
This week we have a number of bonus opportunities available:

1. Who will lead the Alouettes in receptions? A) SJ Green B) Nik Lewis C) Fred Stamps D) Samuel Giguere E) Other (Question #16)
SJ Green leads all Montreal receivers with 111 targets, and while he has caught under 55% of those targets, the consistent attention in the passing game gives Green a considerable advantage over his teammates. Green’s team-high 60 receptions have him sitting two ahead of Nik Lewis this season, and with a new quarterback (Kevin Glenn) likely at the helm in Sunday’s game it will be interesting to see who is leaned upon more heavily. While Green is one of the most talented receivers in the league, Lewis’ role lends itself more favourably to a new quarterback adjusting to the offence, which has me favouring Lewis in this week’s prediction.

2. How many interceptions will both teams record, combined? Over or under 2.5? (Question #3)
Sunday’s game is looking like the perfect storm for a number of interceptions. The Tiger-Cats defence sits second in the CFL in interceptions, nabbing another two against the Riders in their Week 16 win. Meanwhile, the Alouettes have thrown the most interceptions in the league (24) and look to have yet another quarterback under centre this week, marking seven who have played for them this season. Newly-acquired Kevin Glenn was the man behind one of the Ticats picks last week, and he’ll have lead a brand new offence against the Ticats tenacious defence for the second straight week.
Prediction: Over
3. How many sacks will the Tiger-Cats defence record? Over or under 2.5 sacks? (Question #12)
The Alouettes’ offensive line has allowed the second-lowest sack total in the CFL this season (29), while Hamilton’s defence sits second-last (34) in sacks generated through 14 games. Orlondo Steinauer’s defence managed a ton of pressure against Kevin Glenn and the Riders last weekend, but the Alouettes offensive line is considerably better and should be able to provide Glenn with more time to work. Playing into their favour is the fact that Glenn is running a new offence, although it will likely be a skeleton of the Als full offensive repertoire. I don’t expect a completely clean day for Glenn in the pocket, but recording three sacks in a single game against the talented offensive line is a tall feat.

4. How many total yards will Alouettes running back Stefan Logan record? Over or under 149.5 yards? (Question #17)
Stefan Logan is the CFL’s leader in total yards, averaging over 150 yards per game across the season. Of Logan’s 2,111 yards, 1,997 (95%) have come on kick and punt returns. While he certainly does pose a threat as a receiver and ball-carrier, Logan’s primary avenue for yard production is on returns, and he’ll be facing off against a very efficient and sound special teams unit. The Ticats have not allowed a single return to go to the end zone this season, and they are one of the top teams in limiting yardage on returns (8.7 per return). Thanks to the Ticats stingy special teams units, I’m predicting a below-average day for the CFL’s total yardage leader in Montreal.

5. What will be the final score outcome?
A) Ticats +8, B) Ticats +4, C) Even (3 or less by either team) D) Alouettes +4, E) Alouettes +8 (Question #20)
The Ticats have had a difficult time with the Alouettes in 2015 (0-2), and they’ve struggled significantly in Montreal since the new millennium, failing to record a single victory in Montreal since the 2002 season. On top of that, the Ticats are facing a team that is up against the ropes and fighting for their playoff lives. Needless to say, the chips are stacked against Hamilton in this one, and it will require a complete effort to take home a win. With the opportunity to clinch a playoff spot on the line, and coming off of a convincing win over the Riders I’d expect the Ticats to compete hard as they look to avoid the season series sweep with the Als. There’s no clear upper hand here, and I expect this one to come down to the wire.
