It was another week of New Orleans Saints football on primetime, which meant another week of Ticats players supporting former teammate and current Saints corner Delvin Breaux. The former Ticats defensive back had another stellar performance on Thursday night against the Atlanta Falcons. Less than a full week after recording his first career NFL interception against the Eagles, Breaux was shutting down star receiver Julio Jones at the Superdome.

The day following his trade from the Alouettes to the Ticats, Mike Edem received a warm Twitter welcome to the team by his childhood friend Courtney Stephen. The two players grew up together and both founded Overtime Football, a mentorship program to help kids with football and academics, and they’ve now been re-united in the Black and Gold secondary.

Speaking of football mentorship, Ticats offensive lineman Jeremy Lewis joined a number of his teammates in coaching high school students in the Hamilton area. Lewis, who played college football with the Miami Hurricanes, travelled to North Park Secondary School and got back to his Orange and Green roots.

Tiquan “Chef Daddy” Underwood was in the kitchen this week, and from the looks of his subsequent videos the receiver looks like he could be a top competitor in Top Chef: Ticats Edition.

Ticats defensive lineman Evan Gill has gone on Twitter rants about baseball–specifically about the excessive celebration following each playoff series win–but the Blue Jays’ Game 5 win in the ALDS changed all that for him. The Jays’ 6-3 victory and the bat flip heard around the world was enough to change Gill’s mind for good, apparently. As seen below, Gill was not the only Ticats player to come around on baseball thanks to the Jays’ big win.
