Tiger-cats Post Championship Season At Box Office

First sold out season since 1973; only CFL team to sell out every game in 2015
Hamilton Tiger-Cats fans have long been known around the country for their passion and fierce loyalty. They proved it in record numbers in 2015 with a historic season at the gate.
With Sunday’s home regular season finale being announced as a sell-out today, the Tiger-Cats will finish 2015 having sold out all nine home games for the first time since 1973.
The Ticats also announced that approximately 100 tickets for Sunday’s game will be released at 1pm Friday October 30th. These seats are required by CFL policy to be held for purchase by the two participating teams until 48 hours prior to kickoff. They will be available on a first-come first-served basis at www.Ticats.ca or at 905-547-CATS (2287).
Hamilton was the only team in the Canadian Football League to sell out every home date during the 2015 season. The Ticats have averaged 24,164 fans at Tim Hortons Field, 103 percent capacity in the 23,500-seat stadium. Since playing their first game in their new home on September 1, 2014, the Ticats have sold out all 16 home regular season and playoff contests.
“Tim Hortons Field delivers the best live viewing experience of any stadium in Canada, and the incredible atmosphere created by our amazing fans is the driving force behind that,” said Matt Afinec, Chief Commercial Officer of the Tiger-Cats.

In appreciation for the best fan support in the CFL, the Ticats are theming Sunday’s 1 p.m. game against Ottawa as #TicatsSayThanks. Presented by Enercare, the game will feature giveaways of premium items for all fans in attendance, an appearance by The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders of Canada, a special salute to the Canadian Forces, including a pregame flyover, and more.
