Tiger-cats Re-sign Offensive Lineman Lewis

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced Monday that the football club has re-signed international offensive lineman Jeremy Lewis to a two-year contract.

Lewis, 26, started 15 games in 2015 for the Tiger-Cats at right tackle. The 6-3, 312-pound native of West Palm Beach, Florida originally signed with Hamilton on July 13, 2014 and has appeared in 25 career CFL games. He also spent time in 2014 with the Toronto Argonauts in the CFL, and the Los Angeles Kiss and San Antonio Talons of the Arena Football League.

In 2013, Lewis attended rookie mini-camp with the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers in June and the team’s main camp from July 24 to 27 before being released. Prior to turning pro, he played four seasons (2009-12) at the University of Miami where Lewis was part of an offensive line that contributed to the third-best passing offence (295.4 YPG) and fifth-best total offence (440.2 YPG) in the ACC in 2012.
