TSN 1150: Austin talks front office changes

On Monday afternoon, Tiger-Cats VP of Football Operations and Head Coach Kent Austin joined TSN 1150’s Jim Tatti to discuss, among other things, the title changes within the Ticats front office.
When asked about the front office changes– namely, Eric Tillman being promoted to GM and Drew Allemang and Shawn Burke being named assistant general managers– Austin told Tatti that the titles speak to expanding roles for the three men involved.
“It’s a move to better reflect the growth of this department and the growth of those individuals,” explained Austin.
Citing an organizational belief in promoting from within, the Ticats coach said that he expects every member of the front office to be challenged to grow and act on that challenge moving forward.
Along with the discussions of personnel promotions, Austin touches on the team’s free agent camps, his ever-evolving approach to the game of football and his level of contact with Ticats players throughout the off-season.
