Tiger-cats Sign Offensive Lineman Olson And Defensive Back Page

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced Thursday that the football club has re-signed two international free agents, including offensive lineman Jake Olson and defensive back Cleshawn Page.

Olson, 27, started 12 games at left tackle for the Tiger-Cats in 2015 before suffering a season-ending knee injury on September 19 against the Eskimos. The 6-8, 315-pound offensive lineman signed with Hamilton on July 14, 2014. During his two-year CFL career, he has started 21 regular season games and two playoff games, including the 2014 Grey Cup.

Prior to signing with the Tiger-Cats, Olson also attended rookie camp with the NFL’s Detroit Lions and spent time with the Montreal Alouettes in 2014. The Hartford, Wisconsin native played five seasons at Central Michigan from 2009 to 2013.

Page, 23, appeared in four games and started twice at cornerback with the Tiger-Cats in 2015, posting seven defensive tackles, one tackle for loss and two pass knock downs. The Los Angeles, California native originally signed with Hamilton on May 26, 2015 after playing two seasons at Boise State (2013-14) and two seasons at L.A. Harbor College (2011-12).
