Ticats To Unveil New Tiger-cats Shop At Tim Hortons Field

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are transforming their retail shopping experience ahead of the 2016 season. On Thursday, May 12, the team is re-launching its retail brand under the Tiger-Cats Shop banner headlined by the grand opening of a new flagship location at Tim Hortons Field and a new online shopping environment.
This retail transformation corresponds with the introduction of Adidas as the official on-field and fan apparel partner of the Canadian Football League commencing this season. In addition, Tiger-Cats Shop will feature new apparel from leading brands including New Era, Old Time Football, ’47 Brand and more.
The grand opening of the Tiger-Cats Shop at Tim Hortons Field is set for Thursday, May 12 from 6 p.m. The store, located at Cannon St. and Balsam Ave. at the southeast corner of Tim Hortons Field, will also be open for extended Grand Opening Weekend hours on Friday, May 13 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. In addition to cheerleaders and the team mascot, Stripes, Tiger-Cats players will be on hand throughout the weekend to sign autographs and greet fans. Scheduled player appearances include:

  • Ryan Bomben, Peter Dyakowski and Mike Filer on Thursday, May 12 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.,
  • Craig Butler, Andy Fantuz and Courtney Stephen on Friday, May 13 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.,
  • Brandon Banks, Simoni Lawrence and Adrian Tracy on Saturday, May 14 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Among the many new and unique features of the store will be on-site jersey cresting. Fans will have an interactive experience customizing their jersey using in-store touch screens to select the jersey of their favourite Tiger-Cat. In addition, the store will feature a 40-foot long jersey wall, showcasing the new home and away jerseys from Adidas. In a nod to the history of the team and the stadium site, incorporated into the design of the store is the original Hamilton Tiger-Cats marquee that fans will remember as part of the old videoboard from Ivor Wynne Stadium.
Tiger-Cats merchandise is proudly worn by fans around the world, and for those who can’t get to the Tiger-Cats Shop at Tim Hortons Field, the club will be launching a new look online store at shop.ticats.ca on May 12.
Following the Grand Opening Weekend, the Tiger-Cats Shop flagship store at Tim Hortons Field will be open weekly from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday, and 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays. The store will be closed on Sundays. During Ticats home games, the store will be open exclusively to game ticket holders beginning 90 minutes prior to kickoff.
