The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced final details today for their Home Opener against the BC Lions on Canada Day July 1 at 7 p.m. presented by Lou’s Barbeque.
In celebration of Canada’s 149th birthday, the game will be followed by a sensational fireworks show presented by Coca-Cola. The show will launch from the former Scott Park site across the street from Tim Hortons Field, which will provide every fan in attendance with the perfect vantage point to take in the performance from their seats or one of the great social viewing areas inside the stadium.

With 17 consecutive sell outs since Tim Hortons Field opened in 2014, the fireworks display joins a long list of fan-friendly features designed to deliver Canada’s premier live viewing experience. New additions in 2016 include the Tiger-Cats Shop flagship store and the Coors Banquet bar. The game will feature a Canada Day rally towel for every fan and the Lou’s BBQ Pit, located next to the Coors Light Patio.
“Our mission, day in and day out, is to deliver the best live viewing experience in Canada at every Ticats home game, “ said Matt Afinec, Chief Commercial Officer of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. “Our partners have always been an important part of helping to shape that experience for our fans and we’re proud to be working with Coca-Cola to complete what will be a one of a kind Canada Day in TigerTown.”
The Ticats open Tim Hortons Field 1-0 after defeating the Argonauts 42-20 at BMO Field to kick off the regular season. To purchase home opener tickets now, visit click here or call 905-547-2287.
