Tiger-cats Announce Partnership With Canadian Blood Services

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced Thursday that the football club has joined the GIVE LIFE movement by partnering with Canadian Blood Services to raise awareness and recruit new donors in the Hamilton community.
The partnership launches with the GIVE LIFE Game Day on Saturday, August 20 when the Tiger-Cats host the Saskatchewan Roughriders at 7 p.m. at Tim Hortons Field. Canadian Blood Services will be on-site in the South Plaza during the game to promote the partnership and encourage fans to contribute to the cause.
Tiger-Cats defensive back Courtney Stephen will serve as the Canadian Blood Services player ambassador for the team. Stephen will be primarily responsible for helping to raise awareness at two upcoming Tiger-Cats Donation Days in Hamilton. Specific times and locations for these events will be released at a later date.
“There is always a need for new blood donors in any city and I’m excited to be playing a role in helping address the issue in Hamilton,” said Stephen. “Traditionally, blood donors in Hamilton are very generous, but there aren’t enough of us. We need to come together as a community for this cause and I look forward to helping Canadian Blood Services accomplishing this in any way I can.”
The Tiger-Cats are now one of five teams across the CFL to partner with Canadian Blood Services in an effort to help them reach their goal of 40,000 new blood donors in Canada.
