The Canadian Football Hall of Fame Game returns to Hamilton for the first time since 2008 when the Tiger-Cats host the Montreal Alouettes on Friday, September 16 at Tim Hortons Field. Less than 300 tickets remain for the game which features a halftime ceremony to officially induct the 2016 Hall of Fame class.
The 2016 inductees include Don McDonald in the Builder category, and CFL greats Doug Brown, Rodney Harding, Derrell “Mookie” Mitchell and James West as players. The halftime ceremony will include a commemorative video and the unveiling of each inductees official Hall of Fame bust at centre field.
Prior to the game, there will be a public autograph session with the 2016 Hall of Fame class and 17 other CFL Hall of Famers in attendance from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. in the Pioneer Energy Zone, located on the south side of Tim Hortons Field. The list of Hall of Famers in attendance includes Damon Allen, Less Browne, Michael Clemons, Tommy Joe Coffey, Peter Dalla Riva, Tony Gabriel, Larry Taylor, Jake Ireland, Russ Jackson, Neil Lumsden, Angelo Mosca, Pete Neumann, Bob O’Billovich, Dave Raimey, Bill Symons, Dave Thelan and Ben Zambiasi.

The 2016 class will also be honoured at a VIP event in the belairdirect Champions Club on Thursday, September 15 at Tim Hortons Field which will be streamed live in its entirety on Facebook Live and Ticats.ca. In addition, TSN Radio 1150 will be broadcasting live from the event with hosts Marshall Ferguson and Jim Tatti.
The new inductees will bring the total number of Hall of Fame members to 283. The Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum operates as a non-profit registered charity and has been located in Hamilton, Ontario since 1963. Moving to Tim Hortons Field in 2017, it is home to more than 80,000 Canadian football artifacts, ranging from equipment and trophies to photos and videos.
