Fans now have maximum flexibility to exchange tickets for future games throughout the season
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats, in conjunction with the Canadian Football League, announced the team’s 2017 season schedule on Tuesday. With the release of the schedule, the team also announced a dynamic new season seat holder benefit, the new MyTix Ticket Exchange program.
With the Tiger-Cats having sold out 27 consecutive games since the opening of Tim Hortons Field in 2014, the Tiger-Cats shared details of a brand new, exciting benefit for season seat holders. The MyTix Ticket Exchange program, which will be launched in May, which will allow season seat holders that can’t make a specific regular season home game to simply exchange their tickets and swap them into another home date. Season seat holders will be contacted directly via email with further details about the program. The Labour Day Classic is the only game not eligible for the new fan friendly feature.

The Tiger-Cats regular season home schedule will kick off on Saturday, July 15 at 7:30 p.m. against the B.C. Lions. Highlights of the home schedule include the return of WeatherTech Football Day in Hamilton on Labour Day Monday and the Canadian Football Hall of Fame Game (date to be determined), five summer home games, three home dates against the Argonauts at Tim Hortons Field, plus a great mix of weeknight and weekend games.
The Tiger-Cats will open their regular season schedule at BMO Field in Toronto for the second time in as many seasons when they take on the Argos on Sunday, June 25 at 4 p.m. Fourteen of Hamilton’s 18 regular season games will be played on a Friday (eight) or Saturday (six), with two Sunday games, one Monday and one Thursday game. The Black and Gold will be featured on TSN’s Friday Night Football eight times.
Following a spectacular launch in 2016, WeatherTech Football Day in Hamilton on Labour Day returns for a second season when the Ticats host the Toronto Argonauts in prime time on Monday, September 4 at 6:30 p.m. The day-long event will once again feature a celebration of football in the City of Hamilton and a free concert in the South Plaza at Tim Hortons Field, presented by SuperCrawl. Weather Tech Football Day in Hamilton will culminate with a prime time kickoff for a national media audience, which in 2016 was the highest rated game of the regular season.
In total, the Argos will make three trips to Tim Hortons Field in 2017, including a preseason game on Friday, June 16 at 7:30 p.m. and the third and final regular season meeting between the two clubs on Saturday, September 30 at 6:30 p.m.
