GAMEDAY UPDATE: June 16 vs. Toronto Argonauts

matchup

NEW THIS SEASON AT TIM HORTONS FIELD

We’ve been busy this offseason! Friday night will be your first opportunity to check out all of our fan experience enhancements, new to Tim Hortons Field for the 2017 season.
PREGAME PARTY IN THE STIPLEY (90 MINUTES BEFORE KICK OFF) – Eager to get into the stadium and soak in the atmosphere? The FirstOntario Credit Union Gate (Gate 2) will open 90 minutes before the game (6 p.m.) for a pregame party in The Stipley. Enjoy beverages in the shadow of the newly relocated Touchdown Whistle and some old fashioned BBQ eats, courtesy of the Stipley Smokehouse.
STADIUM GATES OPEN 60 MINUTES BEFORE KICK OFF – This season, aside from the pregame party in The Stipley inside FirstOntario Credit Union Gate (Gate 2), all other Tim Hortons Field gates open 60 minutes before kick off (6:30 p.m.).
THE STIPLEY – Bragging rights for Canada’s largest outdoor bar will officially belong to Tim Hortons Field this season.  Named in recognition of the Stipley Neighborhood in which Tim Hortons Field is located, “The Stipley” spans the width of the south end zone between the Pioneer Energy Zone and the Touchdown Lounge inside of Pioneer Energy Gate (Gate 1) and FirstOntario Credit Union Gate (Gate 2). This 100-foot long, bar will be the centerpiece of the redesigned south end zone. The Stipley Bar also doubles as the new home for the 12-foot tall Touchdown Whistle, a fan-favourite tradition at Tim Hortons Field.
THE STIPLEY SMOKEHOUSE – In addition to bar, the adjacent Pioneer Energy Zone will feature new, large communal tables and a traditional BBQ experience, courtesy of James St. North’s popular Saltlick Smokehouse restaurant. Satisfy your BBQ craving and enjoy one of the best views of Canada’s largest high definition outdoor videoboard.

CRAFT GARDENS – Located in the south-east corner of the stadium behind Section 118, the Craft Gardens will offer everything Hamiltonian’s love about the thriving craft beer and local eatery scene in the city. With craft beer from Niagara Region’s Bench Brewing Company, as well as food options drawing inspiration from Hamilton’s most popular local eateries, stopping by the Craft Gardens just became part of your gameday routine.
FIRSTONTARIO COMMUNITY LOUNGE – Looking for a place to sit down, relax and enjoy your food or drinks, tucked away from the bustle of the concourse and out of the elements? The FirstOntario Community Lounge (located beside Section 119) will offer a free-to-access destination for fans to do just that. With plenty of space to sit, the lounge features custom art celebrating the “Best of Hamilton” and the FirstOntario Credit Union Fan Photo Wall; a permanent, 40-foot long wall displaying pictures and selfies of the TigerTown faithful in collage format.
ENJOY THE COORS LIGHT PATIO & 360 DEGREE STADIUM ACCESS – Want to get out of your seat and take in the game from a different perspective? Canada’s most unique sports bar is now fully accessible for all fans in the building that have a ticket. One of Tim Hortons Field’s premier social hangouts, the Coors Light Patio is the perfect place to meet up with friends while enjoying a fantastic view of the field, stadium and the escarpment. Regardless of where you’re sitting (or standing), enjoy 360 degree access around the stadium, with the ability to cross freely from west to east or east to west through the Pioneer Energy Zone or Coors Light Patio.
FAMILIES ON THE FIELD – At the conclusion of every home game this season, fans will be welcomed onto the turf at Tim Hortons Field to play in the footsteps of their Black & Gold idols. Families on the Field, presented by Summer Fresh, provides children with an exclusive and memorable opportunity, whether it’s tossing around a football with mom or taking photos at the 55-yard line with dad. Children under the age of 12 who participate in ‘Families on the Field’, which begins 15 minutes after the conclusion of the game and wraps up 35 minutes after the final whistle, will also receive a mini Ticats football upon leaving the stadium.
