Q&A with Justin Capicciotti

What was your high school nickname, and how did it come about?
Capy. Everybody has always called me Capy, just because of my last name.

What was the best date you’ve ever been on?
The best date? Hmm. We went to Vancouver Island, me and my wife – she was my girlfriend at the time. We went to Vancouver Island, a little spa resort out there. It was really nice. Tigh-Na-Mera I believe it was called. It’s in Victoria I believe.

What’s the best joke that you happen to know off the top of your head right now?
None that are appropriate to tell I’m sure [laughter].

If you were auditioning for Canadian Idol, what song would you sing?
What would I sing? I really have no idea. I’m gonna go with You Can’t Always Get What You Want, by the Rolling Stones.

Would you rather be stabbed in the thigh once, or step on a Lego piece once every hour for the rest of your life?
Stabbed in the thigh! I got a daughter. I step on her toys all the time. I don’t want to do it again and again.

You stumble home at 2:30 in the morning, and collapse on your couch. You pick up the phone to order delivery. What place do you call?
Pizza Pizza cause they’re the only thing that’s open at 2:30 in the morning. And its forty minutes or free, so they gotta come quick.

What was your first car?
My first car was a turquoise Chevrolet Cavalier and the muffler fell off when I was driving home from college one day.

What was your first job?
I worked construction with my dad. He works with insulation.

Who is the most important person in your life and why?
My parents. They’ve just sacrificed so much for me, and did so much for me growing up that I’ll just never be able to repay them.

What happened in the last dream you had?
I don’t remember my dreams anymore. That’s a good question. I just, I can’t remember my dreams anymore. I used to be able to when I was younger, but now I just seem to forget them as soon as I wake up.
