Multi-year exclusive partnership features new TELUS Media Centre
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are pleased to announce a multi-year partnership with TELUS – the new official and exclusive technology and communications partner of the team and Tim Hortons Field.
“We’re extremely proud to welcome an iconic and category leading Canadian brand like TELUS to the Tiger-Cats and Tim Hortons Field corporate partner family,” said Matt Afinec, Executive Vice President, Business Operations of the Tiger-Cats. “TELUS and the Tiger-Cats share a passion to identify new and innovative ways to enhance the experience for Tiger-Cats fans inside Tim Hortons Field and around the globe through the Club’s digital platforms, and that will be on full display in the execution of this great partnership.”
As part of the TELUS partnership, the Tiger-Cats unveiled a state-of-the-art Media Centre last month, offering an enhanced experience for local and national media on both practice and gamedays at Tim Hortons Field. TELUS is also the entitlement brand of all Ticats TV media coverage – Ticats TV powered by TELUS – which will deliver enhanced coverage of the team throughout the season.
“At TELUS, we’re focused on connecting Canadians to the people and things they’re most passionate about, and we know how connected Canadians are to their favourite sports teams,” said Jill Schnarr, Vice-President, Corporate Marketing at TELUS. “Partnering with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats was a natural fit for us as we continue to build our longstanding partnerships and fan experiences with CFL teams across the country, showing Canadians how sport connects us all.”
TELUS is encouraging Tiger-Cats fans to show their heart for the team on gamedays at Tim Hortons Field on Twitter using the hashtag #AllConnected. Participating fans can win great prizes via the TELUS Tweet of the Night. In addition, TELUS will donate $1 to KidSport each time the hashtag is used during the 2017 season up to a maximum of $10,000. KidSport Canada is a national not-for-profit organization that provides financial assistance and grants for registration fees and equipment to kids aged 18 and under.
At the Tiger-Cats home opener this Saturday (July 15) against the B.C. Lions, fans that enter through the new TELUS Gate (at the corner of Beechwood Ave and Balsam Ave) will have a chance to win one of four prize packs including a tablet and an autographed jersey.
