TICATS ANNOUNCE PLANS FOR FAN FESTIVITIES DURING 105th GREY CUP IN OTTAWA
Pigskin Pete’s Pub Crawl, presented by Coors Light, set to take over four different bars in three days on Grey Cup weekend
With the 105th Grey Cup in Ottawa quickly approaching, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced plans this afternoon for a series of fan parties across the Nation’s Capital on Grey Cup weekend, from Friday, November 24 to Sunday, November 26.
For the first time in Grey Cup Festival history, the Tiger-Cats are taking their Black & Gold themed Grey Cup party on a tour across the host city, entertaining CFL fans at four unique venues situated in popular areas of the town.
Pigskin Pete’s Pub Crawl, presented by Coors Light, puts a Ticats twist on the well known ‘pub crawl’ theme, with stops in the ByWard Market, Elgin St., Sparks St. and Lansdowne from Friday night, right up until kick off on game day.
“The organization prides itself on finding creative ways to bring Ticats and CFL fans from across the country together on Grey Cup weekend” said Tiger-Cats Executive Vice President of Business Operations, Matt Afinec. “As we celebrate the wonderful game of Canadian football in the Nation’s Capital in Canada’s 150th year, we didn’t want to limit ourselves to just one area of the city when planning our annual Grey Cup festivities. We feel that the pub crawl concept is a very unique way for our fans to come together, share their passion for the Tiger-Cats and the CFL.”
The three day event will feature unique giveaways at each stop, including official Pigskin Pete’s Pub Crawl commemorative gear and swag. Admission is free at all locations and fans can look forward to drink specials, appearances from Ticats players, alumni & cheerleaders, great prizes and much more.
