Tiger-cats Acquire First Overall Pick In 2018 Cfl Draft From Alouettes

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced Wednesday that the football club has acquired four draft picks from the Montreal Alouettes, including Montreal’s first (1^st overall), fourth (31^st overall) and sixth (44^th overall) round picks in the 2018 CFL Draft, as well as Montreal’s natural second-round selection in 2019, in exchange for national offensive lineman Ryan Bomben, international wide receiver Jamal Robinson, Hamilton’s first (2^nd overall), fourth (34^th overall) and seventh (56^th overall) round selections in 2018, and a player from Hamilton’s negotiation list.
The Tiger-Cats now own the following nine picks in the 2018 CFL Draft:

 
Bomben, 30, was acquired by the Tiger-Cats from the Alouettes on May 12, 2015, and appeared in 48 games with Hamilton over three seasons (2015-17). The 6-5, 295-pound native of Burlington, Ontario, has played 120 CFL games over his seven-year career.
Robinson, 25, served the final month of the 2017 season on the Tiger-Cats practice roster after spending parts of two seasons (2016-17) with the National Football League’s Jacksonville Jaguars. The 6-4, 205-pound native of Slidell, Louisiana, attended mini-camp with the Tiger-Cats last week.
The 2018 CFL Draft, televised by TSN, takes place tomorrow night with the first round beginning at 8 p.m. Tiger-Cats fans can join TSN 1150’s Marshall Ferguson and Mike Morreale from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. for commentary, instant analysis and special guests from Hamilton’s football operations staff over the course of the night.
