TIGER-CATS SIGN INTERNATIONAL FREE AGENTS TALIAFERRO & FORRESTER

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced Monday the football club has signed two international free agents, including running back Lorenzo Taliaferro and defensive tackle Malik Forrester.
Taliaferro, 26, played 19 games with the National Football League’s Baltimore Ravens from 2014 to 2016. The 6-0, 232-pound running back registered 82 rushing attempts for 339 yards and five touchdowns, and added 16 receptions for 153 yards over three seasons with the Ravens. The Yorktown, Virginia native was selected by Baltimore in the fourth round, 138th overall, in the 2014 NFL Draft. Prior to turning pro, Taliaferro played 27 games at Coastal Carolina University from 2012 to 2013, compiling 356 rushing attempts for 2,106 yards and 32 touchdowns, and added 28 receptions for 192 yards and two touchdowns during his collegiate career with the Chanticleers. He capped off his collegiate career in 2013 as Big South Offensive Player of the Year and earned First-Team All-Big South and Second-Team All-American honours.
Forrester, 22, attended rookie mini-camp with the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars earlier this month. Before turning pro, he played 17 games at California State University, Fresno from 2016 to 2017. The 6-1, 295-pound defensive tackle registered 52 total tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, three sacks and one forced fumble during his collegiate career with the Bulldogs. Prior to his time at Fresno State, the Annapolis, Maryland native also played college football at Los Angeles Pierce College (2015) and Fairmont State University (2014).
