With the Hamilton Tiger-Cats set to depart on a eight-day, two-game road trip to kick off the 2018 regular season, the Ticats are happy to announce that fans will be able to enjoy exclusive football content and daily coverage across all of the team’s digital platforms, for the duration of the trip.
The Tiger-Cats fly to Calgary today, ahead of this weekend’s season opener against the Stampeders on Saturday, June 16 at 7 p.m. ET. After the game, the Ticats will remain in Alberta for the balance of the week to prepare for their Week 2 game against the Edmonton Eskimos on Friday, June 22 at 10 p.m. ET.
Ticats.ca and Tiger-Cats social media platforms will serve as Ticats fans’ exclusive destination for all things Tiger-Cats football during the road trip. Fans can look forward to daily stories from practice, interviews & features with players and coaches, behind-the-scenes content from Alberta, as well as exclusive video pieces for Ticats All Access members.
“Since we’re starting the season with back-to-back road games in Alberta, it provides our content team a golden opportunity to produce unique, behind-the-scenes coverage of our first two games, and all things Tiger-Cats in between,” said Matt Afinec, President & COO of the Tiger-Cats.
“Available exclusively on our digital platforms, we’re bringing you closer to the team so you don’t miss a minute of the action from Calgary and Edmonton as we approach the highly-anticipated home opener at Tim Hortons Field on June 29th.”
Also new for this season, TSN 1150’s Mike Morreale, the official colour analyst of the Tiger-Cats, will be providing insight and analysis from all Ticats road trips. Be sure to follow @Ticats on Twitter to catch updates from Morreale on game days all season long.
Tiger-Cats fans are encouraged to check Ticats.ca, Ticats All Access, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram daily to stay up-to-date with the team’s first road trip of the year!
