TIGER-CATS SIGN FORMER NFLER & CFL ALL-STAR BREAUX

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced Tuesday the football club has signed international free agent defensive back Delvin Breaux.
Breaux, 28, played for the National Football League’s New Orleans Saints from 2015 to 2017, appearing in 22 games in 2015 and 2016 before missing the 2017 season due to injury. With the Saints, the 6-1, 210-pound defensive back registered 66 total tackles, 20 passes defended, three interceptions and one fumble recovery. Breaux was the Saints’ 2015 recipient of the Ed Block Courage Award presented to select players in the NFL who are voted by their teammates as role models of inspiration, sportsmanship and courage.
Prior to his time in the NFL, Breaux spent the 2013 and 2014 seasons with the Tiger-Cats, appearing in 27 games and registering 62 total tackles, 10 pass knockdowns, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, one sack and one interception returned for a touchdown. The New Orleans, Louisiana native was named a CFL All-Star in 2014.
Breaux also spent time with the Arena Football League’s New Orleans Voodoo in 2013 and the Gridiron Developmental Football League’s Louisiana Bayou Vipers in 2012.
