Tiger-cats Add Two Players To Practice Roster

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced Monday the football club has added two international players to the team’s practice roster, including offensive lineman Isame Faciane (ICE-uhm FAH-shawn) and wide receiver Cameron Echols-Luper.
Faciane, 27, attended training camp with the Toronto Argonauts earlier this season before being released on June 9. The 6-4, 310-pound native of Slidell, Florida, previously spent time in the National Football League with the Miami Dolphins (2017), Buffalo Bills (2016) and Minnesota Vikings (2014-16). He was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by Vikings in 2014 and spent three seasons on the team’s practice roster where he converted from a defensive lineman to an offensive lineman.
Faciane played in 49 games with 29 starts at defensive tackle over four seasons (2010-13) at Florida International University, registering 122 tackles, 27 tackles for a loss, 7.5 sacks, six pass deflections and two fumble recoveries. In 2013, Faciane was named an Honourable Mention All-Conference USA selection after posting a career-high 53 tackles, 11.5 tackles for a loss, 2.5 sacks and one fumble recovery as a senior.
Echols-Luper, 23, attended Indianapolis Colts rookie minicamp this past May. Before turning pro, the 6-0, 195-pound wide receiver spent his collegiate career between Western Kentucky University (2017), Arkansas State University (2016) and Texas Christian University (2013-14). In 10 games with the Hilltoppers in 2017, the Ennis, Texas native registered 42 receptions for 473 yards and four touchdowns and added two carries for six yards. In 13 games with the Red Wolves in 2016, Echols-Luper recorded 26 receptions for 407 yards and one touchdown, added seven carries for eight yards, and returned six punts for 24 yards and two kickoffs for 35 yards. In 23 games with the Horned Frogs in 2013 and 2014, he collected 13 receptions for 93 yards, added one carry for three yards, and returned 47 punts for 536 yards and one touchdown as well as 11 kickoffs for 126 yards. Over his collegiate career, Echols-Luper also made six completions on eight pass attempts, recording 213 passing yards and two touchdowns.
