Tiger-cats Add Wide Receiver Sumpter To Practice Roster

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced Sunday that American wide receiver Justin Sumpter has been added to the team’s practice roster.
Sumpter, 23, attended training camp with the Tiger-Cats earlier this year, appearing in one preseason game and collecting three receptions for 56 yards. The 6-4, 217-pound native of Austell, Georgia signed as an undrafted free agent with the National Football League’s Los Angeles Rams April 30, 2019 before being waived May 16.
Sumpter played in 43 games over four seasons (2015-18) at Kennesaw State University, registering 111 receptions for 1,989 yards and 21 receiving touchdowns. He led the Owls in receptions in all four years en route to being named to the First-Team All-Big South as a wide receiver following his sophomore, junior and senior seasons.
