During the regular season, when the Tiger-Cats kick a successful field goal at home in the confines of Tim Hortons Field, Carmen’s Group will donate $100 for each yard over 40 yards!
For example, a 45-yard field goal results in a $500 donation, with the Tiger-Cats matching the total dollar amount raised by the program at the end of the season.
When the regular season wraps up, the Tiger-Cats and Carmen’s Group will invite youth from various United Way agencies to go shopping for new shoes with their favourite Ticats players, using the funds raised by the Kicks 4 Kids program!
“At the halfway point of the season, we’re excited by the Ticats 7-2 record and happy with Lirim’s stellar performance!” said Joe Mercanti, COO of Carmen’s Group.
“We are positive he will have more opportunities for long kicks this season, and fingers crossed we’ll be able to top the total we donated last year. It’s all about giving back to the community and helping as many kids as possible.”
Thanks to kicker Lirim Hajrullahu efforts, the Tiger-Cats and Carmen’s Group have already raised $1,300 this season!
