Wide receiver Tim White is just 17 yards away from the 1000-yard marker for what would be the first time in his football career.

White shared that it’s been on his mind, and something he was wanting to accomplish this season.

“It’s something I haven’t done in a season yet in my entire career, so it’s definitely something that I look forward to,” he said.

Through college football, White shared that he was used as a returner and had to work to become a receiver. After coming to Hamilton, he was able to focus more on improving both his mindset and his performance on the field because of the opportunity he was given.

“The differences between college and here is I’m blessed with opportunity,” he said. “Here, if I make a mistake, I know the ball is still going to come my way, so now I can actually fix my mentality and everything to improve and get better.”

Although White continues to work incredibly hard to reach his goals, he gives a lot of credit to his teammates and coaching staff, past and present, for helping him to get here. He shared that seeing them succeed on their own journeys gives him strength and pushes him to keep going to reach these next steps.

“Everybody has ups and downs, so when I came in here, they were just so much help and they looked out for me so much,” White said.

Along with his teammates, White’s family and friends provide a ton of support for him as well. He said the most important thing for him is just having them there for him to calm his mind through all the tough times.

White has loved his time here in Hamilton, and the feeling of reaching 1000 yards is so rewarding for him. With no shortage of hard work on his end, he is just incredibly grateful for the opportunity he was given.

“Ever since I got here, it’s just been a blessing, I’ve loved it,” said White. “I love my teammates, I love my coaches, the staff, it’s all been great, so it’s definitely something I’m grateful for.”

Coming into this season, White had some big goals for himself. As someone who always likes a challenge, he felt like he could make something happen this year, and with big opportunities come big goals.

While 1000 yards is nothing short of an incredible season, there are more big things coming for Tim White. He shared with a laugh that his goals he set at the beginning of the season far exceeded 1000 yards.
