The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are pleased to announce the club’s longest running community program, Kick for Kids presented by Carmen’s group will return for the 2023 Season. This season will mark the program’s 15th anniversary and this year’s program has already raised $600 to date.
“We’re happy to once again partner with Carmen’s group and to help raise money for an outstanding cause. Kicks for Kids has been such an important program for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats over the last 15 years and we’re thrilled to continue help the underprivileged youth in our community have access to a new pair of running shoes.” Said Courtney Stephen, Director of Community Partnerships, Hamilton Sports Group.
The Kicks for Kids program will once again raise money for running shoes for underprivileged kids in the City of Hamilton, through the accomplishments of Tiger-Cats kickers during every Ticats’ home game in 2023. When Marc Liegghio, or any other Tiger-Cats player, successfully kick a field goal at Tim Hortons Field of at least 40 yards, Carmen’s Group will donate $100 for every additional yard. For example, a 45-yard field goal will equal a $500 donation. Matching donations will also be made by the Tiger-Cats
At the end of the season, the Tiger-Cats will invite youth from various United Way agencies to go shopping for new shoes alongside Ticats players and representatives from Carmen’s Group.
