The Hamilton Tiger-Cats returned to Tim Hortons Field for day one of practice, as the team prepares for their week five matchup with the Ottawa Redblacks.
It was a hot day as temperatures reached 30 degrees with the humidity index.
The Redblacks are coming off their first win of the season against the Edmonton Elks, winning 26-7 in their Friday-night matchup to improve to 1-2 on the season.
Former Ticats quarterback Jeremiah Masoli is expected to be the Redblacks starter.
It will be Masoli’s first game starting against the Ticats.
Practice Notables:
Quotes from practice:
“First thing I always do is look inside, look right at myself and say what can I do to help prepare our people and I mean not just players but coaches” – Coach Orlondo Steinauer
“We got to mentally regroup to get that mind right” – Jameer Thurman
“We need to do the little things right, biggest thing at least for myself on the d-line is getting pressure and doing their jobs and being in our gaps,” – Casey Sayles
“Now we got a chance to get in the win column and that’s what it’s about this week. Concentrating, doing our jobs, coming together as one, correcting the little things and I feel like once we correct the little things the rest will take care of itself.” -Duke Williams
