Super Bowl Champ Marquise Copeland Joins Tiger-Cats D-Line

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the football club has signed American defensive lineman Marquise Copeland.

Copeland, 27, joins the Ticats with 26 regular season games of NFL experience and a Super Bowl championship under his belt. The 6-2, 287-pound native of Cleveland, Ohio spent five seasons (2019-23) with the Los Angeles Rams, recording 43 total tackles (22 solo) and one quarterback sack in 26 regular season games.

In 2021, Copeland played in all four of the Rams postseason contests, including their Super Bowl LVI victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Prior to signing with the Rams as an undrafted free agent, he spent four seasons at Cincinnati, where he collected 187 total tackles (79 solo), 21 tackles for loss, 8.5 quarterback sacks, two forced fumbles and four passes defended in 47 career games with the Bearcats. He earned Second-Team All-American Athletic Conference honours in 2018.
